Reproducing Existing Pieces & Bespoke Cabinetry Work

Reproducing Existing Pieces & Bespoke Cabinetry Work

With over 30 years of experience, and specialising in a sofa and chairmaking practice, Lascombe Hill has become a highly regarded workshop for faithfully replicating original and existing pieces of furniture and cabinetry designs. Whether it be adapting and reproducing a favourite piece of furniture, or adding pieces to an existing collection, David Ellis and his team at Lascombe Hill have a broad set of tools to produce bespoke pieces to order; whether it be replicating a favourite armchair, replacing a collection of intricate garden benches, creating additional dining chairs to compliment an existing set, or a more bespoke and complex level new design ambition, Lascombe Hill are able to template, draw up, and quote (often from photos or dimensions) for a wide range of scenarios. We can also help to create and produce small launch collections of furniture for artisanal design houses, working alongside decorators, retail, or architecture firms on chosen drawings and proof of concepts.

Network of Craftspeople

At the heart of the workshop is a small, skilled team of cabinetmakers, who have - over decades of varied work - built up a vast network of the UK’s finest and most skilled artisanal craftspeople, in order to undertake a great breadth of design requests. From wood turners, caners, traditional upholsterers, metalworkers, paint and ebonised finish specialists, experts in lacquer and japanning, carvers and gilders, all associated work is overseen with the highest care and sensitivity to the stylistic nuances of the period and design.
